Hundreds of documents were read one at a time and copied into a spreadsheet by hand.
The tool reads the documents and puts everything into one inventory spreadsheet.
What was the job?
There were hundreds of documents from different sources. Each one was opened and its details copied into a spreadsheet by hand. Because no two documents had the same layout, each one needed careful attention.
What does the tool do?
- Reads the documents. PDF or scanned, it makes no difference.
- Finds the data. Picks out the required fields, even when layouts differ.
- Fills the spreadsheet. Turns each document into one row, in the columns you define.
- Flags doubts. Marks any field it isn't sure about; you have the final check.
What changed?
- Folders read by hand became one spreadsheet.
- New documents are added to the same spreadsheet.
- Information is found with a filter, not by digging through folders.
Who is it for?
Any company with piles of invoices, certificates, data sheets or contracts: production, purchasing, quality, legal and accounting teams.
